VERY RARE ~ S.Shanahbrook, Canton, OH COUNTERMARKED 1818 Capped Bust 89% Silver United States Quarter ~ ONLY 361,174 Minted!
This is a lower mint coin that is made of 89% silver making it ideal for many different types of collectors! That's not the only good thing about this coin however! This Quarter has been countermarked in the late 18th century from Samuel Shanabrook, a well known grocery & general provisions store in the Canton Ohio area that catered to the community during the towns rapid industrialization & expansion. This was a well known family active in the early days of Stark County.
